I'm looking for a new broadband plan as I'm currently with Telecom but keep hitting my download limit for the month. I've been looking at Orcon's naked broadband plans but not sure how it all works. I don't really use the landline at home so is this the best way to go?

Hi Jam,

Welcome to the forums!

If your currently out of contract with Telecom and Naked DSL is available to you I would definitely keep it as a front-running option. Setup of Naked DSL is similar to ADSL but you will need to ensure your modem is capable of ADSL2+ speeds.

To setup the Naked DSL correctly you can purchase an ATA adapter that will allow you to make calls over the internet using your standard home phone but you will need to sign up to a VoIP provider (I'm unsure if Orcon offer this??) and get 9-10c calls nationally.

I'm not with Orcon naked although I have heard good things about it. Plus it saves you quite a few dollars on tolls!

I think you should try Vodafone as it have some excellent plans for unlimited usage. It also have some more plans so that you can choose a gud one for yourself.

Basically its depend on the area where you live. I think you should call to the Orcon service provider and they will let you know that whether Orcon's naked broadband is available in your area or not.

First do one thing make a inquiry about different companies which are famous and may offer this plan and choose the best of the best from it.

I think woolsh is very good.Because you don’t need a landline to use Woosh, you can work and play anywhere you like within the Woosh coverage areas. You just use a portable Woosh modem or for laptop users, the Woosh PC card.
