Naked DSL in Auckland
« on: May 07, 2009, 05:53:47 PM »
I'm keen to get onboard with Naked DSL but does anybody know who is currently providing it? Looking at the search results here only Orcon is offering it but does anybody know when other providers will be offering this- especially in Auckland? :D

Its only Orcon & Vodafone that have their own equipment in the exchanges.

Hope this helps :)

Kiwilink is another provider of Naked DSL in Auckland.
A naked DSL is a digital subscriber line (DSL) without a PSTN (analogue telephony) service — or the associated dial tone. In other words, only a standalone DSL Internet service is provided on the local loop.
As Kiwilink offers service all over the country Orcon provides it in Auckland only.

Naked DSL service in New Zealand is provided by All Talk, Kiwilink, Orcon, Slingshot, Snap, Supra and WorldNet. And also Telecom New Zealand is the backbone provider for most DSL

So is it better to opt for Kiwilink since it offers service all over the country?Or Orcan which is rather more  famous than kiwilink?

Well then to choose the best you will have to see through all the reviews given by customers who have used both the service or either. Then only you can choose the best. Though I feel Orcon is more popular.
